Terms of trade

These terms apply to every quote and order from Kanwick Steelworks Ltd unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days and are based on the drawings and information supplied. Changes to drawings after acceptance are re-priced. Steel prices are fixed for 14 days from the quote date.
Orders and drawings
Work starts when we receive a written order and, where fabrication drawings are issued, your signed approval. Lead times run from that approval.
Payment
Account customers: 30 days from the end of the month of invoice. Other customers: 50% with order, balance before delivery. The minimum charge per order is £145 plus VAT.
Delivery
Delivery dates are given on the order acknowledgement. If we miss that date for reasons within our control, delivery is free and we reduce the invoice by 5%. Risk passes on delivery; title passes on full payment.
Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from delivery, and our exterior powder coating system on blasted steel for 5 years against flaking, blistering and loss of adhesion. The warranty does not cover damage in handling or installation by others, or design supplied by you.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order, except where the law does not allow a limit. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
