How we do it

Structural steel is where paperwork matters as much as welding. We are certified to BS EN 1090-1 at execution class EXC2, which means every beam leaves with a CE mark, a declaration of performance, and material you can trace back to the cast it was rolled from.

Fabrication drawings come back to you and your engineer for signature before anything is cut. Sections are sawn and drilled on the line, baseplates and cleats come off the laser, and everything is welded to procedure and inspected against the approved drawing.

Primed steel goes out on our own wagon and, if you want it, goes up with our own squad: mezzanines, portal frames, plant decks and remedial steel, across the North West and North Wales.

Included as standard

  • Connection design checked with your engineer
  • Fabrication drawings for your approval
  • Material traced to cast number
  • Erection by our own CSCS and IPAF squad

Questions about structural

Do you do the steel design?

We work from your engineer's design and handle connection detailing. If you have no engineer, we can introduce one we work with.

How is the price per tonne worked out?

It is a guide for plain beams and columns. Connections, holes and finish move it, so the quote is built from the drawing, not the tonnage.
